LITTLE FIVE POINTS REAL ESTATE

Little Five Points Website

Little Five Points is located in a historic part of town and is surrounded by a mixture of run down buildings that are juxtaposed with slick, new ones. The shops, clubs, restaurants, and bars of Little Five Points are concentrated mainly on Moreland and Euclid Avenues. If Virginia Highlands reminds you of New York's SoHo district, then Little Five Points would be the East Village.

Like the East Village, Little Five Points is a lively, spirited intown neighborhood where new trends are set. The dynamic mix of bohemians, street performers, and panhandlers makes this area funky and seedy at the same time, but it is forever hip. In this anything goes neighborhood and shopping district, you will likely interact with an eclectic mix of punks, rockers, and everything in between. With tattoos and multiple pierced body pans, the crowd that frequents this area is the alternative Atlanta, a haven for the unique, retro, and hard-to-find.

Those who still prefer vinyl rather than compact discs will enjoy Wax 'n Facts, which also carries many rare items. Criminal Records is also worth a look; it is more than your average music store, carrying magazines, videos, and new and used compact discs. It's a great place to fund your favorite local music.

If retro is your thing, Little Five Points has several vintage clothing stores and thrift shops. The Clothing Warehouse is a thrift store for those who don't like searching through piles of old clothes. They carry used Levi's. Stephan's collection of vintage clothing is in excellent condition, and the store serves both men and women. Abbadabbas is a shoe palace, if Doc Martens are your thing. This store also carries Vans, Birkenstocks, and all the latest hip shoes. Hipsters looking for accessories should also check out Throb, which specializes in rubber and vinyl. Finally, don't miss The Junkman's Daughter, which can turn any home into a hip pad with incense, beads, candles, and much more.

For those looking to make a permanent mark on their body, Little Five Points boasts a number of tattoo shops, including Tornado Tattoo, Sacred Heart, and Urban Tribe. The active can also fund a niche in Little Five Points. Stratosphere has everything necessary for skate rats and snowboarders. Outback Outfitters carries outdoor equipment as well, ranging from Mountain Bikes to camping equipment. And the "green" and healthy can shop for groceries at the Sevananda coop.
If the nightlife is what really satisfies you, the Star Bar features a mix of country, rockabilly, and funk, all under a mirrored disco ball. The Point also serves up a mix of music in a small but cozy venue. The Point also has a darts pit with a separate bar. Variety Playhouse has the highest capacity (1,400) and brings in local talent along with national acts such as Johnny Lang.

For those who enjoy eating, Little Five Points offers plenty of options. Fans of local chains will shout with joy upon seeing Bridgetown Grill and the Vortex. The Vortex is hard to miss. Just look for the giant skull. If you're looking for a local hangout, try the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club. The black bean burritos are something else!
