The citizens of what is now Chamblee originally requested the city be named Roswell Junction. The United States Post Office rejected the name, however, because of the similarity to the to the city of Roswell. An official selected the name Chamblee from a list signatures on a petition requesting the name Roswell Junction.
Chamblee is a growing multi-cultural community. A diverse number of restaurants and services are available in dozens of languages.
